Healthcare Onboarding and Gender-Affirming Care Planning for Washingtonians

What We Do
JM Advocacy was formed to offer free help and consulting for transgender and non-binary Washingtonians seeking gender-affirming care. We know how difficult and scary it is to try and navigate the health care system on your own, and so we offer guidance to help you get the care that you need.
Here are some things you might not know:
-
If you are low-income, state insurance will pay 100% of your care costs, INCLUDING surgeries.
-
In Washington state, insurance providers CANNOT deny you gender-affirming care.
-
If you are on state insurance (Apple Health), you can get paid to drive to your appointments, as well as arrange transportation and/or lodging for extended care, such as surgery appointments.
We want you to feel free to be who you truly are...to experience the joy and liberation that comes with gender euphoria...and to live your best life!

About Janet
I am a healthcare and transgender rights advocate, activist and recently ran for Washington State House of Representatives. I work at both the state and local level to advance transgender rights and liberties, and with non-profit agencies to assist the community with urgent needs.
When I started transitioning in 2022, I was going it alone. I had to navigate insurance, surgery planning, and my gender-affirming care by myself, and on many occasions the uncertainty would set me into a panic. Once I learned the system, and was able to advocate for myself, I vowed to ensure no one else has to suffer the uncertainty and fear of not knowing how to get to their euphoria goals.
That is why I opened JM Advocacy: it is my service to the transgender community, free of charge, to ensure that everyone can live their best lives.
